Statistics Applied to Biomedical Research

The goal of the course is to provide a general and applied introduction to the statistical tools and techniques most widely used in biomedical research. Participants develop their skills in analyzing data and interpreting reports of specialized statistical software such as Epi-Info, SPSS and STATA. This is accomplished through development of both theoretical and practical exercises.

The course is offered in a b-learning (blended learning) format which combines the advantages of online learning with the availability of in-person consultancy. The integration of IT into the implementation of the course has allowed its dissemination nationally and regionally, with a high level of acceptance shown in course evaluation surveys.

Yenifer graduated as a statistician from the Universidad del Valle and is currently completing his Master´s degree in Epidemiology at the same institution.
