As the IRB secretary I coordinate the timely review done by the IRB Members of the required documents for initial and continuing review of research projects. I organize the agenda for the monthly meeting where the ethical, legal and social implications of research are discussed and I communicate the decisions to the investigators. I support and advice researchers to comply with international and national standards, following a set of established procedures. The former based in universal ethical principles for the protection of the participants and their rights as Colombian citizens. It is an essential process to verify the ethical standards. I also do the research ethics training and I am a facilitator for the Good Clinical Practice course.
