Students and Young Investigators

At CIDEIM, training investigators is inherent to our scientific and technological activities. Our research endeavors are instruments for developing new investigators, who carry out their student projects in the framework of our research lines and diseases of interest. The national and international collaborations in our projects provide an enriching experience for students as they are exposed to diverse schools of thought.

Students at the doctoral, master´s, and undergraduate levels, from both national and international universities, come to CIDEIM to conduct their thesis or internship research projects.

In addition, CIDEIM trains Young Investigators funded by Colciencias. The goal is to develop recent graduates or individuals early in their career development and encourage them to continue a scientific research career, by immersing them in the world of biomedical research in an enabling environment and with the necessary tools. Young Investigators participate in research projects within the different thematic areas. They interact not only with their project tutors, but also with other CIDEIM investigators and collaborators. In this way, Young Investigators are able to define their professional orientation and are also advantageously positioned to initiate post-graduate studies.

Below you will find information on a few Young Investigators that launched their career at CIDEIM:
