Online Post-graduate Courses in Biomedical Sciences

Within the framework of the Global Infectious Disease Training Program of the Fogarty Center, in collaboration with the Yale School of Public Health, CIDEIM has offered online post-graduate courses since 2007. These are semester-long courses in advanced topics related to biomedical research, such as molecular biology, immunology, vector biology, among others.  Courses meet online on a weekly basis, alternating talks by international experts and journal clubs organized by national participants.  Students can register the courses for credit as electives within their universities.

CIDEIM and the participating universities are now part of the National Network for Strengthening Postgraduate Biomedical Sciences Programs. The weekly conferences are transmitted by CIDEIM using Elluminate. The CIDEIM team offers training to both IT contacts and professors within the network institutions in order to ensure local capacity for connecting to and troubleshooting any issues during the weekly meetings.
